  • Yes we do! We can author, QC and extract-from (provided the discs are not copy-protected / unencrypted) discs.

Discs we make are M-DISC Blu-Ray Discs or Standard Blu-Rays. DVDs & CDs are also possible too.

  • We accept a wide range of incoming media: Portable & Powered Hard Drives (USB-C, Thunderbolt 2, 3 & 4, USB 3.0 or USB 2.0). USB Memory Sticks and SD/CF/XQD media cards are also acceptable. We can accomodate a variety of current digital cinema camera media/memory cards.

It does not matter if your drives/cards are formatted for PC, Linux or MAC, as we can work with all of these operating systems and use different machines/formats dependent on the workflow requirements.

  • Yes.

A QC is highly recommended for all DCPs to ensure the content reaches full technical compliance. We insist on doing these for any DCPs we master or are mastered by an external company/vendor.

We can provide Picture-Only DCP QCs or Full Service DCP QCs. Both services are available at resolutions up to and including DCI 4K Full Container.

Quality Control is the final stage of any finished work before it returns to the client and can be handled in-house or externally, dependent on the brief & client preference.

For Picture-Only DCP QCs - we can operate those QCs in-house although we do advise a Full Service QC as per below, due to being able to monitor audio in Stereo (2.0) only.

For Full Service DCP QCs - we book & run an attended session in partnership with our colleagues at Close-Up Cinema. These sessions are attended by Louis on-behalf-of/with the client who will assess the film for a range of technical parameters in accordance with the delivery specification.

We have also run test/live screenings at venues across London (such as BFI Southbank, BAFTA 195 Piccadilly, Curzon Bloomsbury, ICA) and The UK more widely. Enquire within for details.

In addition to the client's final deliverables drive, the client also needs to supply a separate drive for the DCP(s) delivered, as this will need to be specially-formatted (Linux extFS2 / NTFS) to be able to run in cinemas. We can advise on workflow.

  • We archive all of our work to the cloud, Hard Disk Drives and M-DISCs (using our in-house M-DISC authoring machine) - and can do the same for your work.

If you need a long-term archival solution (20 years plus) then we can work with our partners to book-in LTO archival. LTO7 and LTO8 are most commonly supported at present.

LTO (Linear Tape Open) is the industry-standard digital archival format, where digital data is stored on a linear magnetic tape inside a cartridge.

  • We provide Digital Restoration Services for both moving image and photographic work.

Moving Image Restoration is performed using a combination of cutting-edge restoration tools including: Topaz Video AI and DaVinci Resolve Studio where appropriate.

We can provide tailored consultation on a restoration, advise on restoration workflow, restore vintage photographs, low-quality archive video/film, standards convert footage to current standards/formats, up-ressing standard definition (SD) content to HD, 2K, 4K and above, and more.

Please enquire within for how we can help restore your project.
